Whoops, you were an asshole. Some of you wear that badge like a tattoo. Good for you! Take into account that this website isn’t for you. This website is if you want to become a better person. You may have received this card because of a personality trait you are not aware of. Maybe you have a body odor that can annihilate small rodents. Maybe you were on your cell phone while you were on a date. Maybe you expected to “get some” on a date, and after being told that you were not going to receive any form of physical action, you turned into another person. Don’t be ashamed. Just move on and remember it for next time.

I myself try and find something I did every day that I would give a black card to myself for. Maybe I didn’t call a friend back in a timely fashion. Maybe I didn’t iron my shirt for the day. Maybe I flaked out on a friend rather then tell them the real reason as to why I was not attending an event. In all actuality, it is my hope to receive black cards in the future. I will be quite grateful for the situation.

If you received a black card, there should be a liaison number on the back of the card. If you search the number you should be able to research who gave you the card and why they gave you the card through a blog post. Read it and find out what happened.

From here you can choose to continue on the path you always have, being the same person you were when you received it. You can also choose to be a better person. There are thousands of reasons why a person can be given a black card. Truly, to be the best of the best at being a gentleman one must know the reasons and strike them out of their system like a completed Ronin.
